Another visitor from Australia named Hans also said the museum needs a guide who knew about the history and why the house becomes a museum. He also explained the article is not enough to explain the story behind the museum. “Or museum can make a catalogue about the museum and the paintings,” he said. Luckily he knew about the museum from his country when he discussing about painting with his friends and when he visits Bali, he visit the museum.
Domestic visitors from Jember named Nunung also admitted she doesn’t know the history about this museum. She only past Sanur pedestrian and see the museum then she decided to visit the museum. “I read the article a little bit, but I don’t know the history before reading those articles,” she said. She also agreed if there a guide in the museum. “We will know about the story id there were guides here,” she said.

Gede Nurjaya: Enough with Rp 2.5 Billion
The head of tourism district in Bali, Gede Nurjaya said it is enough for us to promote Bali with Rp 2.5 billion, because it is budget from government. “We have to be satisfied with that decision and do the promotion as optimal as we can,” he said. He also admitted the budget is lower than last year but it is enough.
According to tourism district data 2008 budget for Bali is Rp 16.453.938.000. “This budget is including 5 billion salaries and budget for eight programs and 32 activities like festivals and others,” he said. One of program is promoting program and the budget is only 2.5 billion rupiahs. “It looks like the budget is lower than before, but it is very difficult because Bali’s priority if to overcome poorness, increasing healthy and education,” he said.
He admitted the budget will be used to promoting Bali in other countries. “For this year we will have promotion to Berlin, Japan, London, India, Malaysia and China,” he said. The promotion will be in the form of following their event. Bali also will make a road show to China in this year. “I thin it is effective and optimal enough for us,” he said. Besides promoting to other countries tourism district also will promote Bali to Jakarta, Batam and Balik Papan.
Gede Nurjaya also explained, even though the budget only reach Rp 2.5 billion for promoting Bali, there are other budget which used for other program but it supported Bali’s promotion. “So we don’t have to worry,” he said. The program is inviting journalists from other countries so they can promote Bali in their countries.
“At present there are India journalists who have their tour in Bali and it will be continued with Hong Kong journalists in 23 – 25 February 2008,” he said. Nurjaya explained the budget is not from promoting budget, because it is a different program. In this program tourist district had cooperation with some hotels, airlines, travel agents and others. “Hopefully the journalists can promote Bali to their countries, so we can decrease promotions to other countries,” he said.
He also explained tourism in 2008 had improved and it is proved with the increased of foreign tourists who had a vacation here. In 2008 foreign tourists are improved 29.88 % compare with 2007. The total reached 145.883 foreign tourists. “It is a good thing for Bali, and I hope it is keep improving without stopping any promotion from us,” he said.
He explained the promotion can be done with that budget. “Don’t expect too much in promotion like commercial break in international television or something, of course the budget won’t enough, we’ll do the best thing to promote Bali,” he said.
Jelang Nyepi, Produsen Ogoh-Ogoh Panen
Menjelang hari perayaan nyepi, produsen ogoh-ogoh panen orderan.
Harga cat minyak mengalami kenaikkan sejak sepekan terakhir.
“mereka biasasnya memesan lukisan foto,” tambahnya. (rahma regina)
